COLLINS, Frank H. of Forney, "Fearless", Beloved husband, father, and friend to all who knew him passed away Sunday October 16, 2005 after a year long struggle with lung disease. Born January 10, 1941 near Pickton, TX. to Nellie Flournoy Collins and Lester Collins, both deceased. Survivors include loving wife, Patricia McElrath Collins of Forney, son Michael of Dallas, mother-in-law, Loraine McElrath of Bonham, Texas, sister-in-law, Peggy McElrath of Las Vegas, Nevada, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members, Jerry, Ruby, David Snow and Gale and Pam Smith. The owner of Cameo Towel and Uniform Service in the Dallas and Ft. Worth metroplex since June of 1969.Also during this time he was a lieutenant in the Dallas Police Reserve. He was a man who was always there for his family and friends no matter what."Honest, Capable, and Fearless" was his motto and the way he lived his life. Services will be 2:00PM Thursday October 20, 2005 at the New Hope Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Forney, TX. Frank Collins loved life his family, friends and his business! Frank had many interests:He enjoyed his years as a Dallas reserve policeman.He received his private pilot's license and loved to fly. Frank enjoyed drag-racing, mowing on his tractors, digging ditches, hauling sand & gravel for friends in his bright red dump truck and driving his beloved 1972 van.If it had a MOTOR AND WHEELS, it intrigued him. NO challenge was too great for Frank to tackle! The more difficult, the more he longed to meet that challenge! Frank belonged to the Classic Chevy Club for years and was their "technical advisor". AUTOMOBILES WERE FRANK'S PASSION Frank restored a 1957 red Chevrolet convertible to its original beauty.He enjoyed driving his chevy in parades in Forney and in Autumn Trails parades in Winnsboro for years, as well as, showing his chevy in numerous car shows. Frank loved attendingswap meets, andworking on cars in his garage with his many friends.He also loved drinking ice-cold Dr. Peppers at Settler's in Forney and visiting with his friends, but most especially, Frank loved helping anyone with a problem. During this past year, as he struggled with his health, he never complained, but rather he was always at the ready for anyone who needed him. Frank lived his life to the fullest. He was happiest when he was on the GO! Above all: Frank was a Listmaker, Caretaker, LOVER OF LIFE!
