Francisco Xavier Luna

Francisco Xavier Luna, Jr. of Mesquite, Texas, passed away on April 6th, 2020. Francisco was born in Dallas, TX on June 25th, 1945 to Francisco Xavier Luna, Sr. and Alejandra Rocha. Francisco, “Paco” as he was lovingly known by so many, attended North Dallas High School. Upon graduation he served his country in the United States Army. When he left the Army he worked fulltime with his father, brothers and sisters at the family business, Luna’s Tortillas.After retiring from the family business, Francisco worked for several years at FedEx Kinkos and then finally retired for good. Francisco married Patricia Jo Claunch on April 15th, 1967 in Dallas, TX. They moved from Dallas to Mesquite in 1977.Francisco and Patricia spent 52 wonderful years together raising their daughters and cherishing every moment spent with their grandchildren. Francisco is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; his daughters Tina (Ryan) Whitfill and Jennifer (Scott) Evans; and his four beloved grandchildren Francisco Alex, Luke, Colt and Kylie. Francisco is also survived by his siblings Juan Jose Luna (Rita), Graciela Buster (Kyle), Fernando Luna (Margarita) and Raul Luna; and many cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Francisco is preceded in death by his parents Francisco and Alejandra Luna and one sister, Maria Teresa Duran. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made in Francisco’s honor to a charity you hold close to your heart.
