Berner, Francisca "Sister Francis" born April 24, 1927 passed away on March 21, 2012. Francis was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico to Baldomero Delgado and Rosa Torres. She was a twin and one of 5 children. As a young woman she had three children. In pursuit of a better life she moved to Miami, Florida where she recorded a music album. Soon after, she met Angel Quinones Sr. and they had two children together Angel Jr. and Lydia. Francis became a single parent working two to three jobs to keep her family fed. Working as a steam presser in a laundry mat, she met and married John Henery Berner. They later moved to Camden, Tennessee where they would live for over 30 years. She spent her time in Tennessee making acres of vegetable gardens and taking care of their small animal farm. "Sister Francis" as everyone called her, was a devoted member and avid prayer warrior of the Lighthouse of Deliverance Church and the Open Door Church, for over 30 years until moving to Texas after her husband's home going in2001. She is preceded in death by one of her sons, her parents and her beloved husband. She leaves behind her children, Josefina Delgado, Lyndia Quinones and Angel Quinones, Jr.; five granddaughters, Tina, Aloma, Evie, Alanie & Eliana and eight great grandchildren!
