Gibson, Francis Charles, Jr. born June 27, 1932 past away on June 9, 2014. He is preceded in death by parents, Francis Charles Gibson, Sr, and Mary Elizabeth Prefoltos; brothers: Charles Francis Gibson, Albert Gibson and Floyd (Slugger) Gibson. He is survived by wife of 59 years: Doris Lee Cooper Gibson; children – daughter Vickie Denise Gibson Kale and her husband Charles Ray Kale, Francis Charles Gibson, III; grandchildren – Kristi, James, Melissa, Ursula, Jennifer, Chase, Ryan, and Amanda; great-grandchildren – Kacie, Skylar, Lola, Luke, Jade, Jordi, Abriana, Norah, Harley and L.J. ; brothers – Claude Gibson and George Gibson; Sister – Edie Rossi; and numerous other family members. Born to Francis Charles Gibson, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Prefoltos on June 27, 1932. He had five (5) brothers and one (1) sister.His father passed away early in his life which left his mother to raise six (6) wonderful boys and one (1) beautiful daughter. He served 6 years in the armed forces, which he loved dearly. Met and married Doris Lee Cooper on October 22, 1954, while he was still in the Air Force at Carswell Air Force Base.Worked for Borden’s milk for a few years after his military service and then finished his career as a truck driver for Lee Way Motor Freight as a truck driver.He worked for Lee Way for 30 years. In 1976 he bought Graves Gun Shop and owned it from 1976 – 1985.In 1984 he started Gibson’s Outpost and Shooting Range, where he continued to work until April 11, 2014 when he was admitted to the hospital after having a number of strokes. He was a man with a heart of a child and the strength of a grizzly, and was loved deeply by his family and will be missed forever.
