Evelyn Hoover

Evelyn Feagin Hoover was born on September 5, 1935 to Luther Thomas and Edna Irene Merriman Feagin.Evelyn passed away on February 12, 2020. She was married to Gary Haynes Hoover for 46 years. Evelyn was a graduate of Forney High School,She worked for Ford Motor Plant in Dallas until they closed.She then went to work for Hartford Insurance Companyfrom which she later retired.After Evelyn’s retirement from Hartford she continued to work part time for Town East Animal Clinic.Evelyn was an avid dog lover and raised Miniature German Schnauzers.She bred them as well as entered them in dog shows around the area. She was an active member in the Animal Dog club. She was also a member of First Baptist Church where she attended often until she became ill. She is preceded in death by her parents, listed above,her husband Gary Haynes Hoover, Gary’s Brother, Mike Hoover,Brother, Thomas Ray (Jeter) Feagin, Her sisters, Shirley Ann Payne, Gloria Jean Poe, and Bro. In law,Leroy J. Quinn. Evelyn is survived by her son, Stephen Hoover, sister, Marilou Quinn , Brother and Sister in law, Ron and Carolyn Hoover, Sister in law, Lynette Feagin, Brother in law, Bill Poe,and long time friend, Jan Scott. Numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at 1:30 Thursday, Feb. 20 at First Baptist Church Chapel with funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Hillcrestcemetary in Forney.
