Eunice Alice Talley, born March 8, 1922 in Anna, Texas, passed away January 14, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarance C. Talley, Sr.; son, Paul S. Talley; father, Fred Dixon, Sr., mother, Annah May Dixon; sister, Elizabeth McMillan; brothers, Fred Dixon, Jr., Horace Dixon; Forest Dixon; sisters, Mildred Brown and Jean Finley. Survived by, son, Forrest Dixon Talley and wife Dellana of Dallas, Texas; son, John Perry Talley and wife Cathy of San Angelo, Texas; son, Clarence "Bubba" Talley, Jr., and wife Sue of Cary, North Carolina; daughter, Alice ElaineWilliams and husband Theril of Hurst, Texas; daughter-in-law, Alicia Abbott Talley of Mesquite, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Freda Lafoy, Katie Coffey, and Mary Stout. Eunice was born at home in Anna Texas and grew up on a dairy farm and cotton farm in Sherman, Texas where she attended Sherman High School. Moved to Dallas to attend secretarial school after graduating high school. Met her husband Clarence Talley, Sr at First Baptist Church of Dallas while she was secretary for Dr. George W. Truitt, pastor at that time for the First Baptist Church Dallas. She raised 5 children. Funeral Services will be at New Hope Funeral Home at 10 am on Monday January 18, 2010. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Texas Baptist Men, Dixon Building, 5351 Catron, Dallas, Tx 75227.
