Ervin Ray Layne

Ervin Layne of Forney, born Decemer 14, 1930, passed away August 2, 2006. Survived by his wife, Kay Layne, children, Allan Layne & wife Gladys, Paul Layne & Amy Layne; step-children, John Hemby & Amy Sletten & Keith; grandchildren Allan Layne II & Tammy, Alicia Coplin& Rick,step-grandchildren, Erik & Erika Sletten; two great grandchildren, Caden & Kinley Coplin. Visitation at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E. Hwy. 80, @ Collins Rd. Exit in Sunnyvale,Saturday, August 5, 2006 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM, followed by a graveside service at Mesquite City Cemetery on Walker Street at 3:00 PM. The family would like to thank Dr. Ravi Vallabhan for his diligent care. Ervin had an incredible zest for life.He was always positive with an energetic, kind, gentle spirit.But most of all, he was heralded for his great sense of humor and laughter he shared with the people around him.He was very loved and will be missed by all.
