Ernest Howell Diviney of Rowlett, TX. went to be with the Lord on December 1, 2009, in Rowlett, TX. He was born the 7th of 8 children to Susan Stella DeBusk and David Alexander Diviney on January 10, 1926, in Ranger, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Joanna Stallings-Diviney of the family home; one son, Ernest Melvin Sparks (Gerri) Diviney of Paola, KS, grandsons, Kirk (Tracy) Diviney; great granddaughters, Ashley and Samantha Diviney; and Michael (Libby) Diviney; great grandsons, Dean and Alex Diviney; one daughter, Patricia Kay Diviney (Steve Garrison) of Olga, WA; step-children, Debbie (Wayne) Fowler; grandchildren, Amy Fowler (Andrew Norton-Mitchell; Jeremy (Heather) Fowler; great grandchildren, Riley and Jackson Fowler; Carla (Danny) Strait; grandchildren, Aaron and Adriane Strait (Brad Kieschnick); Matt Hunnicutt; grandchildren, Ricky Lee; great granddaughter, Jane Abigail Hunnicutt; Nicolas and Mac Hunnicutt; Pam Hunnicutt (Dennis Richards); grandchildren, Jordan, Peyton and Lanie Richards; Gene Hunnicutt (Lori Albrecht), grandchildren, Drew and Madison Hunnicutt; many friends and neighbors. Ernie served in the United States Navy in Washington State, met and married Barbara Jean Young. The children were born of that marriage. Ernie worked for many years as a plant superintendent for Anadarco Petroleum in Liberal, Kansas, retiring in 1986. He and Joanna Stallings-Hunnicutt were married on July 5, 1986 in Gainesville and lived for many years prior to moving to Rowlett. Ernies hobbies included music of most any kind, playing the guitar, building and flying radio controlled airplaines. He became a pilot and built his own airplane. He was preceded in death by his parents and all siblings. Service will be 11:00AM Friday December 4, 2009 at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E. Hwy. 80, Sunnyvale, TX. 75182. Interment will be 3:00PM Friday December 4, at the Highland Cemetery, Durant, Oklahoma.
