Emily Beth Cantu

Emily Cantu was born September 17, 1984 and passed away February 22, 2016. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shelley Bryan Cantu; her sister Laura Cantu; her grandmother Elizabeth Chapman; and her nephew Stephen Choice. Emily is survived by her daughter Brianna Jones and her son Brandon. She is also survived by her grandfather Doyle Chapman and grandmother Joannie Varner; her father Edelmiro Cantu, her brothers Matthew Cantu and Marcos Cantu; her sister Sonia Cantu; several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, Makenzie Cantu, Daylin Cantu and Anton Choice; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Emily had a passion for life. She was always a focal point of any get together, and every party. She could be tough, and outspoken, but these same traits made her stand out in any crowd. She had a special soul and personality that could light up a room.She was so sharp witted and clever, traits she inherited from other beloved family that preceeded her in Glory. Emily had found God in her heart, and we know she is in safe now in heaven with the Lord. Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 27th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at New Hope Funeral Home, Sunnyvale, Texas.Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 2nd -Noon at the funeral home.
