Elsie Iola Roland

Elsie Iola Kennedy Roland passed away on December 20, 2012 at the age of 83 at Texas Regional Medical Center in Sunnyvale. She was born on February 21, 1929 in Ballinger, Texas to Newbern Samuel & Gertede Kennedy. She married Billy Roland of Forney where they lived for more than 44 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers (Sam & James) and 5 sisters (Mary, Ina Sue, Mollie Ann, Glenda, and Barbara) and 1 grandchild (Donald Ray). She is survived by her 6 children Linda Dalrymple & husband Billy Don of Forney, Donnie Stamper & family of Terrell, Tommy Stamper & wife Pasty of Arlington, Tina Parker & husband Ricky of Kaufman, Debbie Piacente & husband Tony of Forney and Steve Stamper & wife Henny of Rockwall; 2 sisters Nancy June and Brenda Joyce, 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Elsie was a mother; housewife and business owner (Roland Texaco & Teddy Bears Restaurant) in Forney for many years. Her service to others was second to none. She was a beloved wife, loving and sacrificing mother, devoted grandmother and great grandmother, gardener, crafter, dog lover and most importantly, follower of Christ.
