Elizabeth Rudine Turman of Garland, TX was born February 21, 1949 and passed to be with her Lord and Savior on September 24, 2015 following a brief illness.She is preceded in death by her parents Alfred Martin Rudine and Mary Janette Rudine of Dallas, Texas.Sweet Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, William Jerald "Jerry" Turman.She is also survived by her sister, Janice Necessary of Ormond Beach, FL, and her two sons Spencer Necessary of Fort Worth, TX and Aaron Necessary of Plano, TX.She is additionally survived by her brother, Neil Rudine, and his wife Vonna of Lubbock, TX, as well as their children, Anthony Rudine and his wife Jennifer of Pittsburgh, PA; Tiffany Rudine Pettijohn and her husband Robert of Yokosuka, Japan; and Cullen Rudine and his wife Caitlin of Pearland, TX. Elizabeth is also survived by her great nieces and nephews; Kaitlyn Pettijohn, Hannah Pettijohn, William Pettijohn and Hendrix Necessary.Elizabeth's surviving first cousins are Robert Rudine and his wife Janet of Seattle, WA and James L. Jones of Dallas, TX. Elizabeth grew up in the White Rock Lake area of Dallas, TX and attended Bryan Adams High School where she excelled in her studies, graduating in 1966.She then attended Baylor University and obtained her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.Elizabeth was always on a quest for knowledge and went on to attend East Texas State University in Commerce, TX, obtaining Master's degree of Education from there.Elizabeth began her teaching career at an elementary school in South Dallas.During her second year, she began teaching at John Quincy Adams Elementary School in Pleasant Grove, TX.Elizabeth rotated teaching between Kindergarten, first and third grades and taught in the Dallas Independent School District for 35 years, retiring about 10 years ago.Elizabeth dedicated her career to teaching in the disadvantaged and inner city areas of Dallas. She loved her career and the children she taught, always making sure that they had lunch money and school supplies.Jerry would sometimes come up to her class in costume portraying different characters pertaining to her lessons of the day. Elizabeth had a sweet and kind heart and was cherished by many. She will be forever missed.
