Elbert Horton Madkins Sr, of Balch Springs, Texas passed away July 30, 2015.Elbert was born on June 11, 1950 and raised in Quinlin, Texas. Elbert was preceded in death by his parents, Laurence Madkins, Sr. (father); Mary Eulala Horton Madkins (mother); Claudell Madkins (brother); and mother in law, Evangelina Vasquez. Elbert is survived by his wife, Thelma Vasquez (Madkins); Children: Anthony (Sylvia); Adrian (Vivian); Liza Ruiz; Elbert II (Toni); Jonathan (Monica); Cameron (Kim);Dr. Sara McCoy (Jacoby); and ex wife, Rita; Grandchildren: Brittany, Kelsey, Alexiss, Paige, Payton, Jake, Will, Ty, Ava, Makayla, Melahdy, Benjamin, and Emery; Brothers: Lawrence Jr. (Shirley) and Leon; Sisters: Ela Mae (Charles), Lela, Faye, Doris, Mary; father in law: Arthur Vasquez; in laws: Joe (Mirabelle); Angela (Samuel); Oscar (Sonia); Roland (Gloria), Lucy, Nora (Juan)Arthur Vasquez,Jr. and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 U.S. Highway 80, Sunnyvale, Texas75182. A memorial service will be held Wednesday,August 5, 2015 at New Hope Funeral Home at 2 p.m.
