Effie Donaldson

Effie Donaldson, age 53, passed away on March 18, 2023. Effie was born in Pisa, Italy, on September 8th, 1969 to William Knox and Lieselotte Bleichner. She moved from Germany to Dallas Texas in 1975.

Effie will be lovingly remembered by her children, Brianna Donaldson-Berendzen and Brice Donaldson; Grandchild, Emerysn Donaldson; mother, Lieselotte Bleichner; sister, Lilo Whitehead; brother, William Knox Jr. (Billy).

She was Proceeded in death by father; William "Bill" Knox.

Effie spent most of her days spending time with her children and granddaughter. she attended Community life church in Forney, Texas.
She Graduated from Spruce High school in 1988. After graduating high school she attended cosmetology school where she graduated and became a nail technician. She worked at The City of Balch Springs as the Economic development Manager for 15 years. she was dedicated to her work and had many achievements including; graduating in 2015 from the prestigious Oklahoma University Economic Development Institute, graduating in 2019 from the Community Development Institute at Lone Star College with a certificate of BRE Project Coordinator. Effie was also a member of the Texas Economic Development Council, International Economic Development Council, Business Retention Expansion International, and International Council of Shopping Centers. She had a love and passion for her work and the impact that it had on her community.

While spending time with her family and friends, Effie also loved playing and caring for her dog Hamilton. She loved watching her house flipping shows and her feel good movies. She loved going shopping with her daughter and daughter-in-law. She always made sure to pamper herself. you would never see her without a fresh set of nails on. She would always say that her favorite color was sparkles. She was not a big fan of cooking... but, she made an AMAZING fried pork chop! She put everyone else first and worked so hard for her family. Effie made sure that her family and friends were loved and supported every day.
