Douglas John Penning

Doug Penning passed away Monday, June 6, 2011, with wife of 36 years, Patty, by his side. He was born February 15, 1945 in Breckenridge, Minnesota to Bernhard and Willabella Penning but spent most of his life in Texas. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Patty Penning; daughter, Alicia Penning; son, Tyson Penning & wife, Christi; grandchildren, Alexis, Gavin, & Brooklinn Penning; sister, Mavis & husband John Anderson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Penning; and sister, Phyllis Horstmann. The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2011 at New Hope Funeral Home.
