Douglas Barton, 65, passed away on August 11, 2024, in Dallas, TX.

Douglas Barton was born on May 19, 1959 in Memphis, TN, to Jesse Barton, Jr and Doris Barton.

Doug married his beautiful wife Nancy on June 12, 1993 in Garland, TX. The couple had 3 children, Joshua Barton, Jenny Crowe, and Justin Barton.

Doug was best known for bird watching, watching old sitcoms, and family time. He loved his family.

Doug was a very quick witted, humorous man. His favorite thing was to tell a tall tale and see how far he could go before anyone figured out he was making it up.

Doug is survived by many family members that will miss him to include Debbie Barton - sister, Ann Sam - sister, Brandy Vallejo - niece, Ron Sam - brother-in-law, Vic Joseph - brother-in-law, Donald Taylor - brother-in-law, Jeremy Dodge - nephew, Perfecto Vallejo - nephew, Julia Dodge - niece, Kyle Dodge - nephew, Danielle Wawroski - niece, Cassie Dodge - niece, David Wawroski - nephew, Thomas Crowe - son-in-law, Mary Crowe - granddaughter, Dillon Crowe - grandson, Hailey Barton - granddaughter, Robert Taylor - nephew, Linda Padgett - sister-in-law, Ronny Padgett - brother-in-law, Shawn Padgett - nephew, Jodi Padgett - niece, Ronette Padgett - niece, Stephanie Espy - niece, Zach Espy - nephew.

Doug is preceded in death by Jesse Barton, Jr - father, Doris Barton - mother

The service for Doug Barton will be held on Wednesday, at 11:00 AM at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation: Wednesday, at 9:00 AM at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial: Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Seagoville, TX.

Memorial donations can be made in Doug's name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
