NICHOLS, Dorothy M. a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Dorothy M. Nichols of Mesquite, TX, passed away September 24, at 8:30PM, 8 days after her 89th birthday. She is survived by her husband, Ralph Marion Nichols, and her five children, Helen May Nichols of Mesquite, Anna Beth Holland of San Antonio, David Allen Nichols and Bonita Lou Van Kooten of Southern California, and Danny Ray Nichols of Oregon; her nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents: father, Harry Winthrop May, and mother, Jessie DeTar May; and her sister, Kathryn Gunkle Harrington. She was a member of Household of Faith, Garland, TX, along with her husband of 64 years.Dorothy devoted many hours proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to prisoners through Write-Way Prison Ministries' correspondence courses. She was a "peach of a lady" who will be greatly missed. Service will be 3:30PM Saturday September 29, 2007 at the New Hope Funeral Home chapel. Family visitation will be Friday evening at the funeral home from 6:00PM - 8:00PM.
