Doris Ann White

Doris Ann Manner White passed away on August 9, 2012 after a courageous battle with congestive heart disease. She was born July 10, 1946 in Lubbock, Texas to Charles E. Manner and Georgia Lee Manner. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Linda Kay Pritts. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Horace T. White; son, Troy D. White; grandchildren, Troy L. White, Brooke C. White and Nicole C. White. She is also survived by her brother, Charles E. Manners; sisters, Carolyn Sue Miller, Diana L. McCleskey and Sherry E. Shimeld and numerous nieces and nephews. Doris was a business owner for 32 years and operated Doris' Childcare Center in Garland, Texas. She was generous and compassionate. She had a passion for children and many of the children she cared for brought their own children to her for care. She enjoyed shopping, fishing and reading. We are thankful and grateful for the years we have spent with her.
