Doris Eileen (Harris) Jones.Born July 27, 1923 in Shamrock, Oklahoma and passed away November 29, 2014 in Mesquite, TX at the age of 91. Loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend.Mrs. Jones spent much of her life in East Texas (mostly in the Henderson, Texas area) as a bookkeeper at Payne & Riggs Well Service in New London, TX and at Hall Manufacturing Company in Henderson, TX, before moving to the Dallas area some years after her retirement.She married the love of her life, Curtis Jones in 1945 and they were happily married for over 67 years. Both prior to and following their retirement, they were active for many years in the Volunteer Christian Builders organization, helping to build churches nationwide. She is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Jones and her sister, Clarissa Townsend. Survivors include son, Philip Jones (Michelle) of Mesquite, TX; grandchildren, Shane Jones of Fresno, TX, Chris Jones (Shannon) of Keller, TX, Tim Jones of Oklahoma City, OK, and Amy Jones of Dallas, TX. Funeral service will be 10:00AM Tuesday December 2, 2014 at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E. Hwy. 80, Sunnyvale, TX. 75182. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 5:00PM - 7:00PM. Burial will be at Rusk County Memorial Gardens in Henderson, TX. at 3:00PM Tuesday.
