Donald Good

GOOD, Donald W. (Don) of Mesquite went to be with the Lord on December 11, 2002 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. Don passed away from complications after surgery for lung cancer.He was born December 11, 1931 in Dallas, TX.Graduated from Mesquite High School in 1951.Don served in the U. S. Navy from 1951-1955 and retired from General Motors after 30 years of service in 1985.Don is preceded in death by his parents, Leo Sr. & Willie Good; brothers, Leo Jr.& James Good; and beloved son, Clint Alan Good in 1989.Survived by wife of 51 years, Margaret; sons, Don Paul & his wife, Charlotte of Mesquite, Matt Andrew & his wife, Christy of Grand Saline; grandchildren, twins, Stephan Alan, Morgan Paul, Zachary Austin and Sarah Nicole Good; step-grandchildren, Haley & Joey Webb.Don is also survived by sisters, Myrle Luttrell & Glen Wills, Hilda Crain & husband, R. E. Crain; brother, Lowell W. Good & wife, Neva all of Mesquite.Don will be greatly missed by a host of additional family and good friends.The family would like to especially thank Dr. Harry Kourlis, Jr., Dr. Robert W. Baird, Dr.William L. Sutker & Dr. Joyce Shotwell and the staff of 3 Robert CCU and the 13th floor of Roberts for their loving & tireless care of Don.Services will be 10:00AM Saturday December 14, 2002 at the New Hope Funeral Home Chapel with Don Paul Good officiating. Interment will be in Grove Hill Memorial Park.Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00PM - 8:00PM.
