Donald L Gartin was born January 28, 1960 in Long Beach, CA. He passed on May 5th, 2023. Survived by and Married to Maria Gartin for over 20 years. His children: Daughter, Shyralynn and husband Justin Taylor, Son, Donald Gartin Jr., son Daniel and wife Alexandra Gartin. Step Son, Mike Sanchez and wife, Shannon Sanchez, Step daughter, Camie Gibson and husband, Jason Gibson. Grandchildren: Cadence and Thomas Gartin, Breanna and Chris Sanchez, Cavin Liebi and Kendall Gibson. Brother, Reuben and wife Delmarie Gartin. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Pat Gartin, Father, Buck Gartin, and brother, Bob Gartin. Don "Pops" served in the United States Navy for over 13 years. His dedication to serving continued in the church. He taught Sunday school at Sunnyvale Baptist church for over 12 years. Pops left a huge footprint in our hearts. He was the type of man that would feed all others before himself. He was quick to listen, slow to anger and ready to help with anything. A true servant of the Lord. His celebration of life will be held on May 17th for viewing at 6-8pm. Service will be held May 18th at 10am both held at New Hope Funeral Home 500 US 80, Sunnyvale, Tx 75182. Burial service will be at The DFW Memorial Cemetery at 1:15pm, 2000 Mountain Creek Prkwy, Dallas, Tx 75211. In lieu of flowers any donations can be in his name to Sunnyvale Baptist Church 3018 N. Beltline Rd Sunnyvale, Tx 75182..
