Donald Arnold Darovich

DAROVICH, Don, a resident of Mesquite for more than 50 years, passed away Thursday April 17, at his home with his family at his side. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ann; daughters, Donna Ann and Susan of Arlington and Patty of Mesquite; brothers, Jack Darovich, Bob Darovich and Jim Darovich of Cleveland, Ohio; one granddaughter, Alicia Ann of Dallas; two sons-in-law. He was born in Lodi, Ohio, but spent most of his life in Texas where he worked for the City of Mesquite at the Mesquite Municipal Airport.He was a veteran of World War II and served in the European Theater.He played Class A baseball in the Texas League.He was a musician who played a number of instruments ad played in the senior citizen blue grass band for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters. Service will be 10:00AM Saturday April 19, 2008 at New Hope Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00PM - 8:00PM.
