On January 19, 1951 Dickie Wayne Kirby, aka “Pop”, was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Not wanting to move far from his roots he finally settled in Mesquite, Texas where he has resided for the past 20 years with his wife Adrienne. Dick was raised as a Master Mason on 3/8/1980 and has been a Mason for 36 years.He worked for UPS for 28 years and enjoyed every day of it.He loved anything that involved a motor and high speedsalthough he would occasionally watch a football game his favorite sport was racing.Dick enjoyed tinkering in his garage which could have doubled as a 2nd home and his idea of traveling would be to go to Grand Prairie. Every once in a while his wife could get him to venture outside of his comfort zone and leave the great state of Texas. He is preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Aubrey & Geneva Kirby, and sister Vickie Charles. He is survived by his wife Adrienne Kirby, their children and families;Kirk & Holly Kirby and soon to be granddaughter Makiya,Keelie Kirby and grandson Maddox,Brandie Munks, Zachary Cornelius, and granddaughter Audree, Amanda Munks & Kallin Pemberton and grandson Rylen, Gigi & Kevin Geremonte and granddaughters Aubrey & Avery as well as many other family members that loved him dearly. His Celebration of Life will be held at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, Texas on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 2:00pm.In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to the United Network for Organ Sharing; www.unos.org.
