Dick Cole Cockrell

Cockrell, Dick Cole born January 3, 1935 passed away on January 31, 2015. Married Carolyn Andrea Dobransky Cockrell on October 14, 1971 of 43 years.He served as a US Army Medic from 2-24-1954 to 2-5-1957.He received the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He was employed at National Life and Accident Insurance Co. from April 1966 - May 1991. He is survived by daughters; Kimberly Kay Willingham and spouse Micah,and Sharla Cockrell grandchildren; Kevin Vitro, Adam Vitro, Shawn Willingham, Kale Jakob Watkins; 4 grandchildren and 6 great children; brothers and sisters; George & JoAnn Cockrell of Buffalo, TX, Margaret & Tony Pazik, Pflugerville, TX, Elizabeth & Drayton McLane of Temple, TX, Laura & Lou Griffin of Belton, TX; and numerous uncles, aunts,nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by parents;Roy and Laura Cockrell; brothers and sisters; Weldon Cockrell, Mack Cockrell, Norman Cockrell, Delrie Omen, Evelyn Mitchell, Le Roy Cockrell, Elsie Melville,Katy Cockrell, Gordon Cockrell, Winford Cockrell. Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 4 at 3:00PM, New Hope Funeral Home, Sunnyvale, TX. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the following:Scottish Rite Hospital, American Heart Association, and Pathway Hospice.
