Diane Jean Rose Drahem went to meet Jesus on July 29, 2019. She was born on August 10, 1943 in San Antonio, TX to Elmer and Lola Rose.Shortly after graduating high school she met her husband of over 56 years, Milton Drahem.He was working on the elevators in the San Antonio Savings building where Diane worked.They were married on August 18, 1962, in San Antonio, Texas at The Assembly of God Church surrounded by family & friends. She is survived by her husband, Milton, her three children and their spouses: Debbie and Greg Smith, Mark and Jessica Drahem, and Shannon and Danny Williams.She was Mimi to her grandchildren: Colton, Ashley, Sarah, Kevin, Jane, Zachary, Caitlin, Matt, Alysson, Megan, and Casey.Also, surviving her is her sister Donna Davis and husband Ronnie Davis, and countless nieces and nephews. She always said volunteering kept her young and she loved mentoring to young people especially about Jesus.She was director of the AWANAS program at Orchard Hills Baptist Church for over 10 years.Her love of young people led her to countless camp-outs, youth camps, and baseball games.She loved camping and going to the beach with her family, grandchildren and extended family. In recent years, she spent countless hours helping teachers at Garland Classical Academy.And she always looked forward to volunteering in the nursery at C3 Church so she could love on the babies.She enjoyed socializing at the coffee bar and couldn’t wait each year for VBS.She also had a special place in her heart for helping at the Special Ones Network events.
