Passed from... Parent to child, Family member to family member, Friend to friend, Co-worker to co-worker and Most importantly, ....Dad to his daughter, Jessica. A day such as today can bring new perspectives to life (not death). A clearer focus to the values and attributes of those around us and their gifts to us. David values and attributes that he lived by were: Determination and a strong will, Self -confidence, self-reliance, a strong work ethic, A thirst for knowledge, creativity and innovation, A dedication to others and a respect for the diversity of others and A constant optimism and strong hope for the future. I have been encouraged to hear some of these attributes expressed through your memories because these are his life's gifts. After all, it reveals to us the "Circle of Life."By the "Circle of Life", I mean taking what we need from others, what we appreciate in others and making it part of our own lives.... Family member to family member, Friend to friend, Co-worker to co-worker and Parent to child. So I ask you to see beyond today, ... to see beyond our grief to a new perspective in life, the "Circle of Life"... by living one memory or one personal characteristic of David in your own life andmaking that memory or character trait part of your life in his honor. Then, David lives in you and us.Then, we live with a new perspective "the Circle of Life." After all, loving and learning from others is one of the greatest gifts of life. So become stronger in life by living a memory of his character. Then, the "Circle of Life" begins again in you. Then, David's life is a renewal of life. Today, we honor his life by continuing his life in each of us. Today, we renew life and live in the "Circle of Life." The circle of... Family member to family member, Friend to friend, Co-worker to worker and Parent to child Again and again..... God be with us in a new greater perspective of life....... the "Circle of Life."
