David Arthur Cox was born January 13, 1943 in Port Arthur, Texas to Ray and Faith Cox. He entered eternal rest on September 27, 2020. David owned a cable company until retirement and then worked for 17 years at Home Depot. He loved to bowl and looked forward every year to attending the bowling tournament in Las Vegas with his nephew Stephen McRaney and to say he was very competitive would be an understatement! He loved sports, he and his daughter Brenda enjoyed watching baseball together, but his real love was for the Dallas Cowboys - a love he shared with his sister Jean Cox - they had season tickets and would be the ones cheering the loudest!! Everyone in his family knew he had one weakness and would fight you for a Blizzard and would be the first one to dig into the Banana Pudding or the tray of Deviled Eggs! He was preceded in Death by his parents, Ray and Faith Cox, Daughters, Cathy Jean Barnum and Brenda Sue Howard. He is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Jarod Barnum, Ryan Barnum, Bradly Barnum and wife Christy, David Hamilton, Jason Hamilton, James Howard II and wife Vickie and Jacob Howard, 14 Great-Grandchildren; Brothers, Richard Cox and Wife Aurora, Michael Cox and Wife Margaret LaPlante and Sister Jean Cox. 7 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
