Danny Lee Wurst

Wurst, Danny Lee of Rockwall, born July 1, 1946, passed away June 8, 2009. Preceded in death by parents: Harry & Betty Wurst; sister, Dianne Arthur. Survived by children, Dina Keifer & husband, Carson, Tina Nelson; grandchildren, Drew Nelson, Kaley Keifer, Blake Nelson, Connor Keifer, Trent Nelson; companion Cindy Wurst and many other loving family and friends. Memorial service will be 11:00AM Thursday June 11, 2009 at New Hope Funeral Home. Dan Wurst had a great sense of humor always making everyone laugh with his stories and jokes. He loved to dance especially to country music. If you didnt know how to dance, he would be the first to teach you. Dan enjoyed raising, working and training animals. He loved riding, training, and barrel racing horses when he was younger. As a young boy, he played football and raced sprint cars. He loves spending time with his grandchildren showing them how to fish, hunt, and target shooting. He was a great father, role model to his twin daughters and always preached to them to live by the Golden Rule. The hero and the person he looked up to the most was his mother. He adored her very much! His best friend is his life was his dog, Brandy. They had many conversations together and he worked with her every day on teaching her many tricks. Dan was an extremely hard worker and never stopped or slowed down event to the end. Dan will be loved and missed dearly. We will always treasure the memories that we had with him.
