Daniel Gerald Gonzales

Daniel Gerald Gonzales age 54, of Mesquite, TX, passed away March 27, 2020 in Mesquite, TX.He was born March 13, 1966 in Dallas, TX to Gilbert Gerald Gonzales and Maria Guadalupe Gonzales. He grew up in the Lancaster/Dallas area and attended Martin Weiss Elementary School, D A Hulsey Middle School and David W. Carter High School.He married Beverly Meade, June 1, 2002. He worked for DISD for over 20 years as a teacher assistant, soccer coach and data controller where he touched many lives of the children he met throughout the years. Family was very important to him. He loved and was very proud of both his son and daughter.Most weekends you would find him on the soccer fields watching his daughter play competitive soccer. With his wit and likable personality, he never met a stranger.He had the biggest heart and cared for those around him. He loved hanging out with his family and friends, watching movies, listening to music and watching all sports, especially soccer.He was a huge Dallas Cowboy fan, no matter if they were winning or losing. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Gonzales, son, Jordan Michael Gonzales, daughter, Brooklynn Victoria Gonzales; parents, Gilbert and Maria Gonzales; brother and wife, Edward and Erika Gonzales; nieces and nephews, Paige, Armani, Valerie, Alex, Nevaeh, and Micah; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at New Hope Funeral Home, Sunnyvale, TX.
