Dale Stringer

September 2, 1942 — April 8, 2025

Dale Lewis Stringer, age 82, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born September 2, 1942, in Tulia, Texas, to Rufus Lester Jr. and Evelyn Stringer, Dale was raised on the family farm and graduated from Tulia High School in 1961. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from West Texas A&M University in 1966 and later returned for his MBA in 1972.

Dale proudly served in the U.S. Army for many years, beginning his military career in 1966 as a Second Lieutenant. He trained recruits at Fort Campbell, KY, served overseas in Korea as a battery commander, and later was promoted to Captain at Fort Bliss, TX. He completed a tour in Vietnam with the Military Advisory Command, where he served as District Senior Advisor in the Central Highlands. Dale was awarded numerous decorations for his service, including the Bronze Star and the Combat Infantryman's Badge.

After completing five years of military service, Dale began a lifelong career in financial services, initially with New York Life in Dallas, TX. In time, he founded Stringer Financial Group, where he spent decades helping individuals and families plan for their future. Known for his integrity and generosity, Dale was deeply committed to ensuring his clients' financial security. His excellence in the field was recognized with numerous industry honors, including the Million Dollar Round Table and Top of the Table.

In 1986, Dale met the love of his life, Cathie Benson, at the Lancers Club atop the LTV Tower. They married the following year at University Park United Methodist Church and built a life rooted in love, respect, and shared purpose. It was through his life with Cathie that he found his greatest joy in family. Dale was a proud father to his sons Rodney, Dalton, and Brandon. He especially cherished the years he spent as Scoutmaster, guiding Dalton and Brandon to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. He considered this one of his proudest accomplishments. His dedication to Scouting reflected his deep belief in character, service, and helping to shape the next generation.

He called the Dallas area home for over 40 years, and leaves behind a legacy of service-to his country, his community, and most of all, to his family.

Dale is survived by his wife, Cathie Stringer; his sons, Rodney Stringer and wife Gayle, Dalton Stringer and wife Liz, Brandon Stringer and wife Hollie; and his beloved granddaughters, Nova and Olive Stringer.
