D F Adams

ADAMS, D F Papa was born October 27, 1937 in Dallas, TX to Jim Benjamin Adams & Eva Lee Shewmake. He went to be with his Lord October 10, 2008. Papa leaves behind a legacy of love, faith and service. As a long time resident of Mesquite, his Christian example and powerful faith touched the lives of family, friends and community. Through loving and supporting his grandchildren in all of their endeavors, DF became Papa to numerous people outside of his own family. Papa is survived by the love of his life, his darlin of 50 years, Florene Stacy Adams; children, Debbie & J. Burnett, Keith & Betsy Adams, Richard & Becky Allen and John Hamilton; grandchildren, Jason & Shannon Burnett, Jacob & Amanda Burnett, Blake & Stephanie Adams, Brooke Adams, Daniel & Beth Allen, Rachel Allen, Sarah Allen, Drew & Will Hamilton; great grandchildren, Lanie & Lissa Burnett, Madison & Tyler Burnett and Ryder Allen; sisters, Pauline Chinske & Jimmie Penland; brothers, Virgil Adams & wife, Joyce, JB Adams & wife, Maxine, David Adams & wife, Charlene; other family members, RJ & Merrill Stacy, Jo Hayes, Kenneth & Robin Price, their children, Kyle & Blair; many nieces and nephews. Donations may be made to the mission programs at Mimosa Lane Baptist Church or Community Life Church in Forney, TX. A memorial service to celebrate Papas life will be held at 2:00PM Monday October 13, 2008 at Mimosa Lane Baptist Church, 1233 North Beltline Rd., Mesquite, TX. 75149. Visitation will be immediately following service at the church.
