Survived by children, Michael Blanton, Kay Blanton, Scott & Valerie Blanton, and Donna & Mike Schmitt; grandchildren, Vince Blanton, James Blanton, Blake Wright, Kelsey Schmitt; sisters, Bernie Phillips and Mary Rushing. Preceded in death by parents, James W. Blanton, Susie B. Blanton of Lake Village, Arkansas; brother, J. W. Blanton of Houston; sister, Louise Oliver of Eldorado, Arkansas. Service held on Friday February 28, 2014 at New Hope Funeral Home, Sunnyvale, TX. Interment at New Hope Memorial Gardens, Sunnyvale, TX.
