Corazon G. Palaganas

Cora or Lydia Palaganas, 72, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on May 26, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents Andres and Olympia De Guzman; brother Avelino De Guzman, and sisters Norma Reyes and Nenita De Guzman. Cora or Lydia is survived by her husband of almost 51 years, Mercury Palaganas and 5 children. Daughter Merly Binua and husband James Ronald Sawyer, son Larry Palaganas and wife Charito Palaganas, daughter Melinda Alvarez and husband Norman Alvarez, daughter Carolyn Filledes and husband Peter Filledes, and son Generico Palaganas. Grandchildren Ferdinand, Tommy, JR Binua, Natalie and Katrina Palaganas, and Shara Dee, Normhel, Hussein, and Mia Alvarez; and great grandchildren Ashley and Mayumi Binua. Lydia Palaganas was born November 8, 1939 in Tarlac, Tarlac Philippines. Lydia enjoyed fishing, cooking, and baking. She loved watching sports on TV but her real passion was her family. She always made sure that we were all comfortable, and specially loved. Memorial service will be 10 am Saturday June 2, 2012 at New Hope Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens at 500 E. Hwy 80, Sunnyvale , Tx 75182. (972) 226-2111. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6-8 pm.
