Collin Evies Cranford

MASTER COLLIN EVIES CRANFORD was born into the loving and prayerful arms of his parents Charlton and Mysheu Cranford on September 14, 2011. At home awaiting to welcome, terrorize, and rough house the newest and fourth member of team Cranford were his brothers: Charlton Cranford, Jr., Caden Cranford, and Christian Cranford. Stewarding Collin’s personal relationship with Jesus Christ and providing spiritual covering was in the forethought of his parents when they had him dedicated at Free Life Church in Forney, Texas within the first year of life. Each day of life afforded Collin an opportunity to shower his family and friends with his loving, kind, thoughtful, compassionate and considerate characteristics.His zest and zeal for life showed up daily in his persistent and compulsive personality. Collin’s strong, fair, and competitive nature made him a beloved student in academic and Sunday school classrooms, as well as a formidable teammate and opponent on and off the athletic fields and courts. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. Winning was a must because losing was not an option. Collin always kept a bounce-back mindset, a bright smile on his face, and a twinkle in his eyes. Collin was a lover of life embracing his role as the youngest of the Cranford men. He found great joy in dancing and listening to music. His best days were spent playing with his brothers and guys (which were all of his cousins). Collin loved Batman and Captain America Marvel comic characters. Family and movie times were priceless to Collin. Playing baseball was his most recent love. No one enjoyed telling a joke like Collin, although sometimes his punch lines got lost in translation; no matter, he kept the family in stitches laughing. Collin leaves a legacy of idioms like: “I need someting.” Or, every morning before breakfast . . . “I already ate.” Or, coming out of a hiding place yelling . . . “Caprise.” Or, his famous . . . “I tan’t.” Or, his playful banter . . . “Christian, you are not awesome, I’m awesome.” Or, in the morning . . . “Daddy said I have two (2) more hours.” Or, his infamous . . . “Dit out” or, “I don’t need your help.” Or, “Can I have a nack?” Or, after brushing his teeth . . . “Was that too fast?” Collin’s life motto was “eat candy and brush later!” For almost five years, God allowed Collin to build a legacy of fun, family, and fellowship. His new church home Shoreline Dallas in Garland, TX fortified his faith in God. And, on Monday, May 23, 2016, Collin yielded to the will of his heavenly Father and took his eternal rest. Collin was preceded in death by: his great-grandfathers, Garfield Hill, John Armour, and L.J. Bowen. Collin’s memories will be cherished by his great-great grandmother, Minnie Mae Coleman; great-grandmothers Eulalia Hill Allen, Vernola Armour, and Vera Bowen; his loving grandparents, Evies and Sharon Cranford, Curtis and Carolyn Owens, and Steven and Sue Bowen; devoted and god-fearing parents, Charlton and Mysheu Cranford; his three protective brothers, Charlton Cranford, Jr., Caden Cranford, and Christian Cranford; his aunts and uncles, Julius (Yolanda) Bowen, Steven (Laronda) Bowen, Corey Cranford, Derek and Marie Webb, and Kevin and Lanita McCollum; his rambunctious cousins, Jaleah Bowen, Mariah Morales, Javion Bowen, Jaden Bowen, Tyaja Lewis, Sencire Bowen, Shawn Bowen, Solomon Bowen, Somer Bowen, Taylor Webb,and Derek Webb, Jr. and a host of great aunts and uncles.
