Claudine Impson Wheeler was born in Miller near Moyers, Oklahoma on August 31, 1941.She was the daughter of Dickey John Impson and Myrtle Lee Bohanan Impson. She passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on May 24, 2020 in Mesquite, Texas after fighting cancer for two years. Claudine grew up in Miller until she attended school at Wheelock Academy and graduated Haskell Institute High School in 1961 from Lawrence, Kansas.She was a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. On January 2, 1964, she married her late husband James Wendell Wheeler in Dallas, Texas.They were married 22 years until his death in 1986. Claudine worked as a nurse aid for many years until she retired after her husband’s death.She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, watching TV programs such as westerns and mysteries.She enjoyed traveling, drinking coffee, having family get-togethers and most of all she loved her family.She wanted to express “her thanks for wishes towards her and God bless all and I love all.” She was preceded in death by both parents, Dickey John Impson and Myrtle Lee Bohanan Impson; her husband, James Wendell Wheeler; her five sisters, Mildred "Daisy" Walker, Leona Ruth Wilson, Emma Lee Nelson, Elizabeth Ann Impson, Sophia Lynn Impson; her four brothers, Dickey John Impson, Jr., Finis Ewing Impson, David Warren Impson and Preston Wayne Impson; as well as two infant siblings. She is survived by: one son, Wendell Ray Wheeler of Garland, Texas; two daughters, Catherine Renee’ Mueller of Wylie, Texas, and Diana Ruth Woodard and her husband Steven of Fruitvale, Texas; seven grandchildren, Amanda Buckley with husband Joshua, Chad Mueller, Lindsay Mueller, Sarah Wheeler, Grayson Wheeler, Elisabeth Wheeler, Sydney Woodard; nine great grandchildren; and one sister Marchelene “Margie” Davis of McAlester, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones. Issac Battiest officiating with wife Marie of Broken Bow, Oklahoma.Interment followed under the direction of New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, Texas.
