Clara Nan Sweat

Clara Nan Sweat was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She was born on February 2nd, 1945 in Dallas, Texas. Clara passed away on August 11th, 2012 at home surrounded by her family and friends as she wanted it. Clara enjoyed living life and spending time with her family and friends. She was always ready with a warm smile for everyone, she had a quick wit and enjoyed a good joke. She loved cooking and family gatherings. Only the knowledge that Clara is now dancing in heaven with the Lord and her loved one's will give comfort to those that she's left behind. She may be gone from this earth, but her memories will last forever. Also, in knowing that we will one day be reunited together, we find peace. Preceded in death by: her husband Chester Thomas Sweat, father J. William Chase and mother Ora Mae Chase. Clara is survived by: brother Jerry Chase of Athens, Texas; daughter Caroline Hartgrove of Grand Prairie, Texas; daughter Leah Ussery of Mesquite, Texas; son Kelvin and wife Rachelle Hayes of Dallas, Texas; son William and wife Juanita Hayes of Dallas, Texas; son Richard Hayes of Dallas, Texas; daughter Amy Woods of Dallas, Texas andseven grandchildren: Kelvin Hayes, Jr., Kristen Hayes, James Morris, Jeana Hayes, Jenae Hayes, Trevor Woods and Jordan Hayes. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 14thfrom 10 AM - 11AM at New Hope Funeral Home, Sunnyvale, TX. Funeral services will be held on August 14th at 11:00AM at the funeral home.
