Arnwine, Clara "Jean" 49, of Dallas, Texas passed away on January 15th as a result of injuries sustained in the earthquake in Haiti. Jean was part of a medical mission team from Highland Park United Methodist Church working in Port Au Prince when the earthquake occurred. She was transported to the island of Guadeloupe where she passed away as a result of internal injuries. Jean was the Research Department Manager for Texas Retina Associates in Dallas where she was employeed for 25 years. She was known for her bright smile and sweet personality. Jean was a loving wife, mother and friend. She was an accomplished pianist with a love for classical music, the opera and musical theater. Jean loved gardening, cooking and anything pink. She was a women of great faith and her faith carried her through to the end. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, David Arnwine of Dallas, son Ashley Ryan Arnwine and girlfriend Ryoko Hashaguchi of San Francisco, daughter Merilee DeAnne Arnwine and fiance' Ricky Duran of Keller. She is also survived by her parents John and Sharron Bennett of Mesquite, sister Dee Terzo and husband Jeff of Mesquite, brother Johnny Bennett and partner Joe of Mesquite, sister Angelia Bennett of Valley Ranch and special aunt Bobbie Bennett of Mesquite. She is survived by inlaws Jerry & Peggy Arnwine of Mesquite, brother-in-law Dale Arnwine & wife Kathy of Southlake, sister-in-law Rhonda Arnwine of Mesquite, numerous nieces and nephews and dear friend Phyllis Pusser of Longview. Her special pets Beau & Oliver will miss her greatly. The family wishes to thank Dr. Gary Edd Fish for his constant attention to Jean following the earthquake even while injured himself. We will be forever grateful for the care, concern and comfort you provided.
