Christy Marie Burkett

Christy Marie Burkett honored us with her presence April 26th, 1986 - October 7th 2021. She is survived by her loving husband Brandon Burkett, her 3 sons Alekzandr (17), Nykkolaas (13) and Keagan (12); her mom Ellen Glover and Dad, Rick Neely; brothers John Glover and Rick Neely Jr.; her Grammas Doris Teems and Mary Faggart; Uncles, Aunts and lots of cousins.

 

Christy's favorite holiday was Halloween and she loved the color black. She loved being a wife, mother and daughter. Her favorite thing to do was spending time with Brandon and their boys. Her and her mom were not only mother and daughter but the best of friends. She had so many friends they can't begin to be counted. She was loving, funny and exceptionally kind. She loved her three cats as well as all God's creatures.

 

Music was extremely important to her, especially classic rock, which she heard throughout her childhood. The day she got married, November 20, 2004, and the birth of her boys, were the best 4 days of her life. She always insisted on being different with her black clothes, tattoos and piercings which we're all missing so very much. She will be FOREVER in our hearts and dearly missed. She is our angel now, so soar to the sky with your beautiful wings and know that we will love you forever. Until we meet again one day.

 

Join us in celebrating her life at her visitation, Thursday October 21st from 6-8pm and her memorial on Friday October 22nd at 1pm, both at New Hope Funeral Home.
