Charles Ernest Stark- Husband, Father, Papaw. Born on December 10, 1940 to H.G. Stark and Jessie Lee Stark. Called home to our Lord and Savior on June 8, 2017. Charles built a family on faith, hope, and love. He is survived by his sweet wife of 57 years Thresea Farmer Stark, son Chuck Stark and wife Laura, daughter Debbie LaHaie and husband Randy, daughter Kim Wynne and husband Terry, grandson Dustin Swann and wife Julie, grandson Brandon Stark and wife Kelly, granddaughter Krystal McGee and husband Eric, granddaughter Amber Brewer and husband JB, grandson Beau Wynne and wife Samantha, granddaughter Laci Greiner and husband Jeff, 16 great grandchildren that were his pride and joy, sister Linda Kilman and husband Joe, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents H.G. and Jessie Lee Stark, brother Richard Stark, and sister Delores Berryman. Charles was a graduate of Belton High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University. He lived his life serving his family, his country as a paratrooper in the 82nd airborne division of the U.S. Army, the city of Dallas as a Senior Corporal motorcycle officer for 29 years, and the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department for 18 years. He was a faithful and gentle man that loved the Lord. He was a man of few words, but he lived each day showing us what love looked like. He sat through ball games, dance recitals, birthday parties, and babysitting for his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and even some pets. We will miss his 7am “happy birthday” phone calls, hugs in his office chair, watching from the porch as we drove away, peanut butter crackers, chocolate ice cream, cinnamon rolls, car seat checks, weather alerts, tickles, never ending sense of humor, and “talking to you on the teller phone.” But, our hope is not in things of this world. Our hope is in eternal salvation that only comes from the Lord. We count it pure joy that we will be reunited again one day! We truly had the best because he built his family on a solid foundation. May we all live our days as he did! “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” - John 3:16 Viewing: June 13th, 2017 5-7 pm at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, TX.
