Charles Junior Spoor, 81, passed away Monday, November 28th, 2016, at Baylor Medical Center of Garland. Charles was preceded by father and mother Charley and Bernice Spoor, step-mother Velma Spoor, and sisters Johnnie Murr and Frances Whiteside. Charles is survived by brother Joe Spoor and wife Helen, sister Wilma Spoor, sister Alice Guilliams and husband Bob, sister Shirley Burns and husband Darrell, sister Ruby Francis, sister Lillian Weiss, sister Ellen Frances and husband Frank, and sister Evelyn Wiggs and husband Clifford, son Mike Spoor and wife Susan, daughter Valerie Ardis and husband James, grandson Clayton Spoor and wife Payton, granddaughter Candace Anness and husband John, grandson Matthew James, grandson Jacob James, great-grandson Carter Anness, great-grandson Jaxon Anness, great-grandson Maverick Anness, great-grandson Hodge Spoor, and great-grandson Hawkins Spoor. Charles was born May 27th, 1935 to Charley and Bernice Spoor in Koshkonong, Missouri. He married Marjorie LaDon Spoor on January 26th, 1981 in Sunnyvale, Texas. He worked as an electrician and electrical contractor for Rowland, Spoor, and Kirk Electric for more than 25 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing poker, restoring his 1958 Chevy Bel Air, and working on the farm. Pallbearers will be Clay King, Lee Farmer, Rudy Vasquez, Tony Bishop, Jim Addison, and Rue Willett. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday, November 29th, 2016 at New Hope Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the same location. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery. Arrangements are by New Hope Funeral Home. Flowers may be sent in memory of Charles, or, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Charles’s name to the National Kidney Fund.
