Charles Ray Palmer

Charles Ray Palmer, lovingly known as “Pops” to his six grandchildren, was born October 17, 1951 in Dallas, Texas to Cecil and Dorothy Palmer. He graduated from W.W. Samuell High School in 1970. He worked for the city of Dallas for numerous years before becoming an insurance agent for Mutual of Omaha in 1983 up until his death. He married his high school sweetheart, Paula Ann Everett, on July 17, 1971 at Mesquite Church of Christ. They lived in Mesquite up until 2004 when they moved to Sunnyvale. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Paula; daughters Amy Ferguson and husband Scott; Jill Daniel and husband Jason; brothers Gary Palmer; Thomas Palmer and wife Mindy; grandchildren Cameron and Brendon Ferguson; Jaci, Jenna, Jolie and Jackson Daniel; nieces; nephews; other family and many, many friends. Charles was an avid golfer, fisherman, and bowler.He excelled at everything he did. He did not know a stranger and had an infectious personality and was fondly liked by everyone he met.
