Charles Louis Lawbaugh, known to friends as “Chuck,” departed this earthly life for his Heavenly home January 11, 2021, after his courageous month-long battle with Covid-19. He was 79 years old.
Chuck was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on January 8, 1942, to Evelyn Rowena Peddicord and Louis Frederick Lawbaugh. He earned a Bachelor of Management Degree in 1965 from Little Rock University, and after graduation, he began his successful career in the insurance industry. Upon retirement, he devoted his time and energy to faithfully serving his church and community. He was a dedicated member and deacon at Casa View Baptist Church where he served as an RA leader and camp and Bible study leader. Chuck passed on his love for the Lord and missions to many people. He spent countless hours volunteering at The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, the State Fair of Texas Youth Livestock Commission, and the Baptist Men of Texas.
Chuck is preceded in death by his loving wife Patricia, his parents Evelyn and Louis Lawbaugh, and his older brother Jimmie Carl Lawbaugh. He is survived by his daughters Kerri Elliott (Jeff) of Mesquite, Texas, and Kristi Foster (Jeff) of Mooresville, NC.
