Charles Cleve Holmes

Charles Cleve Holmes, 65, passed away on March 8, 2023, in Mesquite, Texas. Charles Holmes was born on August 30, 1957 in McKinney, Texas, to Bobby Jack Holmes and Charlsie Ann Hendricks.

Charles graduated from Mesquite High School in 1977. He started his career at White's Auto Store in Mesquite, Tx as an automotive technician. From then on he continued his career as an automotive technician for 42 years.

Charles was best known for collecting firearms as well as target shooting. He enjoyed spending time with his family- especially his grandchildren.

Charles is survived by Caitlin Miller - daughter, Kyle Miller- son-in-law, Tinley Miller- granddaughter, Coleson Miller (Little Man)- grandson, Steve Holmes- brother and wife Melissa Holmes of Mesquite, TX, Jacque Rountree- sister of McKinney, TX, and Sheila Richards- long time girlfriend of many years.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents Bobby Jack and Charlsie Ann Holmes

Visitation will be Monday, March 13 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, TX.  Graveside Service for Charles Holmes will be held on Tuesday March 14, at 11:00 AM at Cottage Hill Cemetery in Celine, TX. Visitation: Monday, at 6:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home - Stateroom A.  Burial: Cottage Hill Cemetery, in Celina, Texas.
