Charles Anderson Golden was born in Dallas, Texas on December 31, 1943 to Charles Dudley Golden and Willie Lorene Golden. Charlie spent his childhood and youth in the community of Rylie, Texas and attended Rylie school. Charlie accepted Christ at the Billy Graham crusade at the Cotton Bowl in 1953. He was baptized at Oak Grove Baptist Church on Oct. 27, 1953.
Charlie joined the U S Navy in 1961 and served on the Iwo Jima, where he served as signalman. While serving on the Iwo Jima, his ship was part of the Bay of Pigs, Cuban Missile Crisis barricade. Following the service, Charlie worked at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas in the Engineering department for 25 years. During his employment Baylor, Charlie worked as engineering supervisor and locksmith until his retirement. Also while working at Baylor, he met the love of his life, Pat, and the rest is history on their blessed life together.
Charlie loved being outdoors hunting, fishing or taking trips with Pat on his Goldwing. Knowing Charlie, you would recognize his love for God, his family and his country.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia Creel Golden of Mesquite, Texas. Survived, also, by daughter, Carrie Golden Hennen and spouse, Jeffrey Hennen, of Forney, Texas, son Charles Anderson Golden II of Forney, Texas, grandchildren, Joshua Charles Hennen, Rachel Ann Hennen, Noah Lucian Golden and Elijah River Golden. Also survived by brother, Jerry Golden and spouse, Carla of Mesquite, Texas, sister, Patsy Carole Golden of Mesquite, Texas, sister, Nancy Stovall and spouse, Danny Stovall of Mesquite and several nieces and nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends and additional family.
