Charles Edward Coleman, 80, of Mesquite, Texas, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at his residence. He was born July 27, 1938 in Ventura, Calif., the son of Robert M. Coleman and Hilda E. Street Coleman. He attended Santa Paula, Calif., schools. He married Shirley Corl in 1958. They moved to Arkansas in 1972. They divorced in 1976. He married Pamela Fiore in 1979. They made their home in Carson City, Nev. Following her death, he came to Texas in 2011. During his lifetime he worked in restaurant and apartment management. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Ventura County Fire Department, a member of the Fillmore Police Department auxiliary and active as an assistant leader in Boy Scouts of America in Fillmore, Calif. He served as a seasonal firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service in Arkansas. Survivors include a son,Charles E. Coleman Jr. and wife, Michele Coleman, of Mesquite, daughter Mary Coleman Staten of Texarkanaand daughter Hilda Coleman Wilkins and husband Raymond Wilkins, of Pryor, Okla.;three grandchildren,Robert Joseph Graves of Adair, Okla., Emily Ann Coleman of Pryor, Okla., and Jacob Alexander Coleman of Mesquite.Three great-grandchildren, Wyatt Graves of Adair, Okla., Cecelia Downing of Salina, Okla. and Charles Kyler Soukup of Pryor, Okla. Nephews and nieces, Mike Coleman, Steve Coleman, Caryn Coleman Hobbis and Diane Coleman Fuller; cousins, Joe Rowland and wife June Rowland of Idaho and Jim Rowland of Arizona. He is also survived by Pam Coleman's children, Todd Fiore and wife, Connie Fiore of Reno, Nev., Cheri Dunbar of Carson City, Nev., Teri Youngblood and husband, Bret Youngblood of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; grandchildren Kayla Fiore of Reno, Nev., Jennifer Colona and Kirsten Chandler of Carson City, Nev., Steven Estes of Carson City, Nev., Shane Youngblood and Alec Youngblood of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and great grandchildren Carmine Dunbar and Olive Dunbar of Carson City, Nev. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert M. and Hilda E. Coleman, his wife, Pam Coleman,and his brother Bobbie Coleman. Following cremation, he will be buried at Chapel Hill Cemetery in DeQueen, Ark. with his father. No memorial service is planned.
