Charlene Redwine

Charlene Sanford was born December 26, 1938, in Edgewood, Texas to Doyal and Rubye. Her dad died in 1941 and her mother married Aubrey W. Callan in1955. Her mother passed in 1984 and her daddy died in 2007. Charlene married Robert Redwine in 1965 and they had a son Howard Van. She became a single mother when Van was one and sacrificed much for him. In 1991, she became a grandmother. Charlene worked for Fidelity/Allianz/CSC almost 40 years retiring in 2005. She was diagnosed with lung cancer in May 2004 and underwent chemotherapy for a few months before deciding to stop fighting it. She lived with cancer the next four years until October 13, 2008. She is survived by her son and his wife, Van & Lisa, her granddaughters Briana & Sarah, her aunt Betty Jo Cotton and a host of cousins and friends. A celebration of Charlenes life will be 7:00PM Wednesday October 15, 2008 at New Hope Funeral Home, with opening prayer and eulogy by her Chaplain Deborah Kubo. Graveside service will be 10:30AM Thursday October 16, 2008 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Edgewood, Texas.
