Catherine Childs Holman was born June 10 ,1944, in Mexia, Texas, to Pennie and Elnora Childs.
She attended and graduated from Booker T. Washington High school in Teague, TX in 1963. Soon after graduation she made her way to Dallas, Texas where she attended vocational college for nursing. She pursued several different careers in her lifetime; but her favorite work experience was with Republic Bank and Dan D. Rogers Elementary school where she had the opportunity to express her love for cooking.
Catherine Holman loved and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior at a young age. Her passion in life was praising God and taking care of her children. She had two beautiful daughters she cherished LaSonja Holman Dilworth and LaQuinta Holman. She made sure she was an example of a virtuous woman the bible speaks of, and she instilled those beliefs and values in her daughters.
As much as she loved her daughters; she thought the world of her grandsons. Her heart smiled when she talked about Patrick Dilworth Jr.; Jaxon Holman; and her great-grandson Patrick Dilworth III. She would say she loved her daughters, but those grandsons gave her pure joy.
Catherine Holman departed this world to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on March 11,2022.
