Carolyn Sipes

Carolyn Diane Sipes was born on the 13th of April 1962 to parents Bob and Christine Wood, and departed us to go home to the Lord on March the 28th, 2025.

She is preceded in death by her husband Danny Sipes, her father Bob Wood, and her brother Craig Wood.

She is survived by her son Colton Sipes, Mother Christine Wood, nephew Joe Wood and family, niece Tabitha Grady and family, niece Sara Wood, and nephew Steven Wood and family. She as well remained a close and beloved part of her husband's family after his passing.

Carolyn retired from Resource One Credit Union on Good Friday; March the 29th, 2024, after 35 years of dedicated service . She is remembered to have often said "that sounded like a good Friday to retire". She was faithful, diligent, and hard-working, not only in her occupation but also to her family and friends whom she loved dearly. She was the designated hostess of, and participated in, many family traditions, including but not limited to: all birthdays, all holidays, the annual pumpkin carving event, the ugly Christmas sweater competition, Easter egg decorating, and whatever else that the family decided was worth doing. She would entertain Colton's appetite for adventurous dining experiences and finding places that served such fare as: bison, rattlesnake, frog legs, crawfish, and ostrich. She loved being retired, going on vacations, working on her weekly jigsaw puzzles, swimming, and caring for her dogs, most recently the "sisters" Ally and Moe. She enjoyed going to Church on Sundays and attending her Life Group. She was a proud Mother of Colton, and of all his accomplishments in education and in life. She will be sorely missed by family, friends, and all that truly knew her, who were blessed to have known her and have her as a part of their life.
