It is with great sadness that the family of Carolyn Gaylor Evertson announce her passing on October 19, 2024, at the age of 67 years. Carolyn was the firstborn of Francis and A.V. Gaylor, on September 13, 1957, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Her early years were spent with friends and family in Little Rock, as she attended Mount St. Mary's Academy for high school, and then furthered her education at The University of Arkansas at Little Rock. There was more to be discovered however, so Carolyn established a new residence in Dallas, TX., where she married and embraced her second home.
Beyond her steadfast love for the Lord, some of Carolyn's favorite things were traveling, shopping, cooking and certainly her respect and appreciation of a good steak! Her greatest joy was the time she was able to spend with friends and family. She always looked forward to "family time," especially the Florida vacations spent with her nephew and nieces. She wore the designation of Aunt Carolyn proudly. Kindness was Carolyn's calling card, so if you were someone who needed a helping hand or a gentle word, she was your person.
Carolyn is survived by her mother, Frances Gaylor DeLeuil; her sisters Marilyn Gaylor, Sherrie Klugh (E.G. "Bubba" Klugh), Barbara Back (Jon Back), nephew Alex Oliver (Paige Oliver), nieces Kendall Klugh, Kameron Klugh, and great nephew Rhett Oliver. She was preceded in death by her father, A.V. Gaylor, and her husband Robert Evertson.
A celebration of life will be held in Dallas, TX at a later date. Please share your messages of love, comfort and support to her family at www.newhopefh.com.
