Carlton Thomas O'Rear

Carlton O'Rear went home to be with his Heavenly Father on October 8, 2009 after a long battle with leukemia. He was born in Emory, Texas on October 10, 1934. He attended Adamson High School and the University of Texas at Arlington. He started out in the mail room at U.S. Steel and worked his way into sales. From there he went to Wilson Industries. He then became a partner at Pipeco, Inc. He was also on the board of directors at Dallas Can Academy before retirement. Hewas preceeded in death by his son Greg O'Rear and parents John & Dena O'Rear. Survived by wife, Shirley O'Rear; son, Ken O'Rear & wife, Janice; grandchildren, Ashley Peck, Katie O'Rear; brothers, R. D. O'Rear, John W. O'Rear, James "Billy" O'Rear, Roy O'Rear, Norman O'Rear; sisters, Syble Johnson and Betty Hearn. Services will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 12 at New Hope Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M.on Sunday October 11, 2009.
