Carlie McGinnis

McGINNIS, C. A. Mac passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was lovingly embraced by the Lord on December 21, 2008 in Talty, TX. Born on August 14, 1938, he spent his childhood on a farm in East Texas. Served proudly in the Armed Services. His passions and hobbies included race car driving, classic cars and fishing. He especially enjoyed his time with his wife, Velia. He is survived by wife, Velia McGinnis; daughters, Deborah Bennett & husband, Donnie of Andrews, TX., Jessi Avalos & husband, Mike of Austin, TX; son, J. R. Morales & wife, Tanya Morales of Round Rock, TX., Karen Rae White & husband, Jackie of El Paso, TX; granddaughters, Cynthia Bennett of Andrews, TX. & Jessica Morales of El Paso, TX; grandsons, Brenan & Landon Webster of Round Rock, TX, Hayden & Connor White of El Paso, TX.; sister, Vernell Parkerson of Talty, TX; brothers, Guin McGinnis & Ray McGinnis of Whitney, TX. Service will be 10:00AM Wednesday December 24, 2008 at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Grove Hill Memorial Park, Dallas, TX. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00PM " 8:00PM. In lieu of flowers make contributions to M. D. Anderson, Houston, TX. or Susan G. Koman Foundation.
